GenderCraft is a documentary webseries about the intersection of gender and craft identity- a series of portraits of genderqueer, non-binary, and trans individuals who explore questions of selfhood and personal identity through their creative, artistic, or artisanal practices.
Director Sid Strickland approached George and his collaborator Will Webb to develop and produce GenderCraft through its pilot stage. The first episode, featuring non-binary makeup artist Ev Callahan, has been selected for leading LGBTQ+ Festival BFI FLARE 2020, and has been featured on DAZED and Pink News- viewed tens of thousands of times worldwide. The project is currently awaiting further festival releases.
Edited by Alice Trueman, GenderCraft is Sid's directorial debut, and we couldn't have been prouder to support them in bringing the project to life.
