DOING PORRIDGE is an experimental docufiction short about food, women and prison, based on the lived experience, perspectives and recipes of currently and formerly incarcerated women.
Drawing on verbatim transcripts, artworks and recipes of 108 women in British prisons, performed by a cast of with their own experiences of the criminal justice system, DOING PORRIDGE offers a unique glimpse on the essential- and profoundly misunderstood- role food plays in the lives of women in Britain's prisons.
