George is a writer-director working at the intersection of psychological expressionism and participatory practice. His stories explore moments of crisis, parallel perspectives, and transcendental moments in ordinary lives.
George specialises in working with neurodiverse subjects and subject matter, in front and behind the camera; his own experiences have led him to believe that rich, and truthful representations of diverse inner lives are essential tools for enabling empathic connection and social change.
A Bristol Old Vic Young Writers Alumnus, winner of the Ch4 RAW CUTS Competition, and 2021 Artistic Fellow for the I AM Festival of Creativity, George has also been recognised as a Neuro-Changemaker by the Brain and Spine Foundation. His short films have screened at festivals internationally and been recognised with a number of competition wins and nominations. Alongside his creative work, he runs a small production company, Mountain Way Pictures, and works as the Creative Learning Facilitator for Create Studios.
George is a member of the 2023 Directors UK INSPIRE Scheme, mentored by Thomas Hardiman (Medusa Deluxe). He currently lives in Bristol and is working towards his first feature film.
